Standard 1: IEPs – This is new for me, so I would like to learn as much as possible with regards to this student during this practicum so that I can be of benefit to similar students in the future.

Standard 2: Continue working on avoiding toxic environments and only going to my Critical Friends for advice.

Standard 3: Be as inclusive as possible in my classrooms directly and in how I am creating my lesson plans.

Standard 4: Connect to the music community by conducting pieces in the final concert, if they are allowed to go forward with it.

Standard 5: Polish weakest skill of a band teacher: conducting technique.

Standard 6: Learn more about the band repertoire and find indigenous content and repertoire that can be used to honour First Peoples’s Principles of Learning.

Standard 8: Connect with student assistants in the classroom to expand their knowledge when it comes to teaching and mentoring other students.

Standard 9: Gain more confidence with explicitly incorporating FPPL and Indigenous ways of knowing into my teaching.
